The Fantells is a legendary reggae group originally formed in 1975 by Leon Brown, Ladely Brown, and Hal Lewinson. They gained recognition with hits like “Hooligan,” “Stand and Deliver,” and “Ghetto Girl,” working with iconic producers such as Lee “Scratch” Perry, Prince Jammy, and Joe Gibbs.
After lineup changes and a guest appearance on the Tastee Talent Contest, the group adopted the name The Fantells. They toured the Caribbean with Fab 5 and Clancy Eccles before eventually pursuing solo paths.
Today, the group is led by Hal “Reggaeman” Anthony alongside new members Glenroy “Mr. Pinnacle” Davis and Ted Greaves Jr. Their latest project, Just For You, blends classic roots with fresh arrangements, produced by the accomplished Eugene Grey.
